Travellers using Bristol Airport are being warned about rogue car parking companies following multiple complaints. These companies often misrepresent themselves as authorised partners of the airport, offering competitive rates and professional services, but many customers have reported poor experiences after handing over their keys.
Complaints include cars being left without security, damage to vehicles, and unexplained mileage on cars, as well as lost keys and no response to customer complaints. Some customers have also found themselves stranded at the airport with no contact from the parking provider.
Gareth Mellors, Trading Standards Manager, advised travellers to be cautious when booking parking services. He recommended booking through trusted providers listed directly on the airport’s website and reading reviews before making a reservation. He also emphasised using secure payment methods, such as credit cards, to protect against fraud.
For those concerned about rogue parking companies, Citizens Advice is available to help report any suspicious activity, for more information click here.
