
NHS Gloucestershire has announced Sarah Truelove as its new Chief Executive, effective from the summer of 2025. Sarah brings a wealth of experience, having spent over 30 years in the NHS, including significant roles in commissioning and provider organisations. She joins from NHS Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire ICB, where she served as Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Finance Officer since 2018.
Sarah will be stepping into the role at a crucial time for the healthcare system in Gloucestershire, where both service delivery and financial sustainability are expected to face significant pressure in the coming years. The county’s NHS is in the process of recovery, with a focus on improving local health services, meeting the needs of the community, and ensuring the system is equipped to handle future challenges.
